About the team

We are in a growth phase, resulting in a number of large complex cross divisional projects coming up in the next 12 months. This new Project Manager role is being brought on to support the existing team with these projects!

As part of the wider Finance, Strategy and Operations Division, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning and delivering key strategic organisation-wide projects.

The nature of these projects is having multiple concurrent streams involving cross-organisational teams that the PM will engage and manage, including super users, subject matter experts, technology developers and multiple vendors.

About the role

Reporting to the Project Management Office Lead, your role will be responsible for:

The initiation, management and delivery of the project through the full project lifecycle using best practice project management methodologies.
Managing the project efficiently and effectively including managing project planning, change management, project issues and escalation, user acceptance and embedding etc.
Responsible for delivering project outcomes within time, budget and quality criteria.
Liaising with project stakeholders, leaders and senior management on project status, issues and priority as required.
Being a key member of the Project Management Office (PMO) and acting as a contact point for project related information. For each project the PM will be assigned to the business and report to the relevant business sponsor.
Vendor and third-party supplier management as it relates to the project.
Working with project team members including allocating activities, mentoring and managing performance of project work.
Ensuring the proper prioritisation and planning of all project streams and timely reporting of project status.
Reporting of risks and issues both upward and across the impacted divisions to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are put in place.

About You

This is a hands on PM role, where as part of a small team, you will enjoy switching between big picture and detail.  With various stakeholders across various Divisions, you will need to be able to adapt and tailor your approach to suit.

With strong business acumen, you will bring:

Extensive recent Project Management experience managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle within a complex environment and tight deadlines.
Hands-on experience working across business and technology divisions, managing project planning and design through to successful delivery and adoption into the business, using established project, change management and engagement frameworks.
Strong experience liaising between organisational representatives and / or external suppliers.
Ability to manage scope and feasibility expectations of business requirements.
Strong analytical skills; an ability to work at ‘macro’ and ‘micro’ levels in identifying business and technical requirements.
A positive, proactive and ‘service-orientated’ approach to project delivery.
Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation and conceptualisation skills.
Tertiary qualifications in a business or information systems discipline would be looked on favourably.
